Ardas Bhaee Mantra lyrics:
”Ardaas bhayee, amar das guru
Amar das guru, ardaas bhayee
Raam das guru, raam das guru
Raam das guru, sachee sahee.”
Ardas Bhaee Mantra translation:
”The prayer has been given to Guru Amar Das. The prayer is manifested by Guru Ram Das. The miracle is complete.”
This is the prayer to answer all prayers, calling upon Guru Amar Das and Guru Ram Das (who represent the Hope of the Hopeless and the Lord of Miracles).
Guru Amar Das was the 3rd of the Ten Gurus of Sikhism and was given the title of Sikh Guru on 26.03.1552. He died at the age of 95.
Guru Amar Das was born in the village of Basarke on May 5, 1479. He was the eldest son of Tej Bhan, a farmer and trader.
Guru Amar Das grew up and married Mansa Devi and had 2 sons, Mohri and Mohan, and 2 daughters, Dani and Bhani.
He was a very religious Vaishanavite Hindu who spent most of his life performing all of the ritual pilgrimages and fasts of a devout Hindu.
Upon meeting Guru Angad Dev, Amardas was touched by the Guru’s message and became a devout Sikh.
He began living there and became involved in service to the Guru and the community.
He adopted Guru as his spiritual guide.
He was extremely devoted to the service to the Guru and had completely extinguished his ego and was totally lost in this commitment that he was considered an old man who had no interest in life, he was dubbed Amru, and generally forsaken.
He eventually became Guru at the age of 73, succeeding Guru Angad.
Guru Amar Das explained:
”Deep within the self is the Light of God. It emanates throughout the expanse of His creation. Through the Guru’s teachings, the darkness of spiritual ignorance is dispelled.”
Guru Amar Das continued:
”The heart-lotus flower blooms forth and eternal peace is obtained, as one’s light merges into the Supreme Light.”
Yogi Bhajan once said about this mantra:
„Normally there is no power in the human but the power of prayer. And to do prayer, you have to put your mind and body together and then pray for the soul.”
Yogi Bhajan later added:
”Ardas Bahee is a mantra prayer. If you sing it, your mind, body, and soul automatically combine and without saying what you want, the need of the life is adjusted. That is the beauty of this prayer.”
Note – In the recitation of Kundalini mantras, the sound is very important, for it can bring an inner transformation in you while leading you to strength and power.
