Your thoughts and words can be your biggest enemies
If you are content with what you have, you will always have more. If you are always thinking about what you don’t have, you will never have enough. Your thoughts, words, and dreams have the power to create a new reality in your life.
What you think and what you state can really happen to you. Never forget this. If you think that you can not find work, you will remain unemployed.
If you say you don’t like your job, you may lose it. If you are unhappy with your body, you will get sick, and if you always talk about your disease, you will remain sick. If you say you don’t like your car, it will broke or will be stolen.
If you always complain about not having money, you will remain poor. If you say that you don’t trust people, you will only meet people who hurt you, deceive you and betray you. If you are convinced that you can not meet someone who loves you and trusts you, you will only have relations that confirm this belief.
Your life would be much more beautiful and fulfilling if you got rid of these damaging beliefs. When we were children, we didn’t have limiting beliefs. We believed in Santa Claus, superheroes in the movies and had big dreams about our future.
Then something happened. We woke up locked in some boxes with fixed rules and forgot to ask ourselves whether they are real or not. But even if most people are convinced that they exist, we mustn’t think the same.
Here are some false beliefs that you need to get rid off, starting today:
#1 I’m not smart enough! False.
Someone or something has led you to this idea: a parent, a teacher or a personal failure. It’s true that each of us are born with a certain potential and intelligence, but the differences between people are very small.
The cleverness is the result of learning, not genetic heritage.
If you try to learn and practice a certain activity for some time, you can become the best in that field, which makes you valuable to a company or a person who needs your skills. Don’t try to be the best at everything, just be the best at something.
#2 I don’t have experience! So what?
If you read the biographies of successful entrepreneurs, you’ll see that they all started their activities when they were 20-25 years of age. They had ambition and didn’t care that they lacked the experience. You should do the same.
Dare and you will gain experience along the way. Moreover, you will have the chance to approach the problems from the beginner’s point of view and find solutions that even the most experienced haven’t thought of.
Instead of complaining of your lack of experience, think that the ambition, hard work, and creativity that you have been endowed with by nature will quickly get you to your propose. Believe in yourself!
#3 It’s too late for me! That’s what you think…
A lot of confident people will prove you wrong. There are famous authors who have written nothing until they were 60 or even later. There are businessmen who haven’t tasted success before turning 50.
The only time you may consider to be too late for you is when you are six feet under. If that time isn’t here yet, it’s not too late. Start right now!
#4 I can’t be happy until …
If you continue to think this way, you will never be happy. Decide to be happy. If you are convinced that your happiness depends on a person, an object or a sum of money, it means that you let your happiness be dictated by something that is beyond your control.
Take your happiness into your own hands!
If you can do this (and you can), you will be happy every morning when you wake up, you will be grateful for what you have and not disappointed about what you don’t have. Choose to be happy now!
#5 This is me!
Yes, that’s who you are this second, but who will you become in an hour, a day or a year is not something set in stone.
We all change and evolve, depending on the experiences we go through, the knowledge we gain and the people we meet.
The person you are today is very different than the person you were a year or ten years ago. Allow your life experience to shape you and you will become the better version of yourself!
#6 I’m too busy …
To start my own business, to look for a life partner, to change my job, to learn something new, to become a parent, to go out with friends … Being busy is the most used excuse for not doing anything regarding your own happiness.
If you are one of those people who think they are too busy to make changes in their lives, ask yourself this: What time do you wake up?
How much time do you spend socializing with friends or colleagues? How many hours do you watch TV, the news, talk shows or your favorite show? How much time do you spend on the internet? If you are true to yourself, you will realize that you’re not so busy after all.
It’s just that until now you didn’t prioritize your dreams and aspirations. It’s time you did that!
The boxes used by society to limit us are an illusion. People who realized that these boxes are not real, now enjoy success, love, and happiness, and they appreciate the life they live.
Break the box in which you were closed by your imagination and the whole world will open before your eyes, waiting to be explored. If you have the strength to do this, there won’t be any walls to limit your beliefs.
You will be a different person, one that is able to fulfill the most secret aspirations.
